The Congregation’s assembly of cardinals and bishops also unanimously confirmed the martyrdom, after which the cardinal prefect of the congregation submitted a report to the Holy Father regarding Magdi’s martyrdom.

Pope Francis officially recognized the martyrdom of Mária Magdolna Bódi and ordered the publication of the decree. Since the proclamation of the decree, Magdi can be referred to as Venerable Servant of God Mária Magdolna Bódi.
