The previously thought lost documents from the beatification process during the time of Bishops Mindszenty and Bánáss were found in the archive of the Veszprém St. Michael Parish.

The feast day of St. Margaret of Hungary, Archbishop Gyula Márfi of Veszprém issued a decree expressing his intention to continue the beatification process of Mária Magdolna Bódi, and he ordered the resumption and proclamation of the process.
Under the leadership of Father Péter Szakács, the delegate judge, the diocesan tribunal reconvened.
Over the course of five years, the tribunal heard 18 witnesses, and on October 22, 2016, the diocesan phase of the beatification process was concluded.
Archbishop Gyula Márfi of Veszprém submitted the complete documentation to the representative of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints in the Vatican on March 10, 2017.
