The Archdiocese of Veszprém is preparing with great joy and enthusiasm for the beatification of Mária Magdolna Bódi, which will take place on April 26, 2025. The life and example of this martyr can serve as an inspiration not only to the Catholic community but to all people of goodwill. One of the goals of the Archdiocese is to make Magdi’s story, faith, and purity known to as many people as possible. To achieve this, they are using various creative tools, including a special puzzle that combines a communal experience with a spiritual message.
The innovative puzzle consists of 5×5 pieces and measures 2×2 meters in its entirety. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that each piece depicts a natural landscape that Mária Magdolna Bódi might have visited and where she admired the Creator’s beauty. The puzzle also features one of Magdi’s thoughts, reflecting her simple yet profound faith:
“How beautifully God created the world! What a beautiful homeland He has given us!”
This quote served as a compass in Magdi’s life and conveys a timeless message to people of every era. As participants assemble the puzzle pieces, they can marvel at the beauty of the images. Nature, which Magdi cherished so deeply, bears witness to God’s creative work. Thus, the puzzle also teaches us to pause in our fast-paced world and recognize the beauty God has gifted to us.
The Archdiocese warmly invites the faithful to participate in the various events and activities leading up to the beatification of Mária Magdolna Bódi. Let us pray together that Magdi’s example may touch the hearts of many and guide them on their path toward God!
